>> Bob,
In regard to sailing videos, I have actually never seen one of the
professional ones out there.
Blonde jokes and Rhodes22 models aside for a moment, If you get
the demand for the product first in terms of students and
prospective clients who will PAY for a video that instructs them in
basic and advanced techniques as well as some navigation and good
seamanship, then I think you go ahead and book a professional who can
do the product YOU need at a cost you can afford. To go out an try
to learn edit software to the point where you can turn out a
professionally looking product is not a great idea in my opinon.
I shoot for NYU during the week and shoot events and anything else I
can on the weekends.
I do have some friends I could impose upon in the St Louis area in
the future if you decide to give me chance.
Mixing interactive with video is also possible as long as you are
not thinking of putting it over the net, as that just complicates the
matter. A DVD could have options which show what happens when you
accidental jibe or how to tack instead of jibing when winds dont
permit jibing.. etc.
I shoot all digital with broadcast quality SONY cameras and edit
with Apples FinalCut Pro software which I have been using for over
4yrs.
all the best
now as far as blondes and models,
Some of the best sailors I have met have been blonde women who could
sail rings around anyone in the bay, lake or river in their LASERs
and racing equipped SUNFISH, come back to the dock and still have
time to put on their make up and toenail polish before we catch up
to them:)
