Rose,
My wife Julie and I are only a bit south of you in Deltaville. We actually
live in Blacksburg (about 4.5 hours away) where we keep our Rhodes 22. Last
January we ended up buying a Tayana 37 and now spend a lot of time on her in
Deltaville. Haven't made it up to Reedville yet, but we've stayed in
Dividing Creek and points south quite a few times.
Several months ago we saw another Rhodes 22 just south of Jackson Creek in
the Piankatank river. We didn't see a name on the boat and never did find
out who it was.
AT any rate, I'll cc: this to Julie in case she's got any feedback for you.

Ed,
Thanks for the info on the Lady sailor/writer and the music. I'll check out
the sites.
I live in Virginia, on Warehouse Creek (8' MLT) off the Great Wicomico River
two miles from the Chesapeake Bay. The town is Reedville and you can take a
ferry from there to Tangier Island. Windmill Point lighthouse is South of
here and that is where a bolide hit years (forgot how many years--my
halfheimers kicking in) ago and helped form the Chesapeake Bay. This was
discovered in 1994....just a little trivia on the area.

Good Morning.
I like to introduce myself and to confess that I've been lurking around the
site for the past week. I'm recently retired, single and pursuing the
purchase of a recycled Rhodes. Started sailing four years ago but have only
crewed
and never sailed my own boat. I had a demo sail with Stan at the Annapolis
Boat show. I was very impressed with the boat as well as the owner. Any
feedback from lady Rhodies would be appreciated; experiences, options that
you wished you would have gotten, ones that you wouldn't get and the ones
that are absolutely necessary for single handed 'novice' sailing.
Thanks,
Rose
