[Rhodes22-list] Merc 2 stroke 6hp

I have used a 1.2 HP    yes 1.2 HP to push my Rhodes 22 at  2.5 kts in
no wind conditions.

My current 5 HP mariner will give me over 5 kts no wind. If I had my
choice and had to buy new I think I would get the 8 HP .

I'm curious about how well your Merc 2 stroke pushes the Rhodes,
(however I
sincerely hope not to spark another round of 2str/4str debates).   I
have a
96 Merc 2 cyl 2 stroke long shaft motor from another boat and thought
it
might be too small for the Rhodes.  Is yours adequate to motor upwind
in
waves?  What prop do you have?  How well does the Merc tiller/throttle
stick
work on the GBI motor hoist?
