As a retired military officer and two-time Vietnam veteran who
saw combat I usually do not participate in political
discussions, I just cast my ballot.  However, I would like to
make two points: 

1- The respect and civility shown in political discussions on
this list is exemplary and far too rare.  Let's keep it up.

2- Listen to Ed K.  He is right.
