While FL was getting hammered we had a nice weekend. Saturday and Sunday the
winds were under 10 with temps in the low 80s. Our club had races on
Saturday with a seafood boil afterwards. I have mentioned before that I am
hanging on to third place by 5 points over a Catalina 30. I have had better
days and it seemed like everything went wrong starting with my motor not
starting. I had to get towed out to the channel and got off to a horrible
start. The only thing that went my way was the C30 had an even worse race
then me. They actually beat me across the finish line by less than 10
seconds before time was corrected. The second race they finsihed just ahead
of me on corrrected time so I still have a five point lead with 6 races
left. The seafood boil/ keg party was a blast!
Monday the winds were around 12 all day with temps in the low 80s. A friend
emailed me some pics - see attached.
