We do have some pictures of a v-berth extension on the photo website, in
case you are curious how such a thing might work!
Check out Bill and Sandy Gallant's v-berth extension on the Tech page:

Specifically, you'll want to see:

It doesn't show the cushion, but I'm sure you can imagine that.
FWIW, my wife really LOVES sleeping in the v-berth. She's 5'0".
I prefer sleeping on the dinette/bed. Lots of room there.

Bary,
I know of a couple that lived on a R22 for 7 months. Granted, they were
very
good friends considering they were married, but they managed. In order to
get enough room for both to sleep comfortably, they extended the V berth
with an
additional support board which went over the top of the conventional
porta-potti head area and all the across. They made a cushion for this
extension and
with the pop top enclosure, they were snug as bugs in a rug.
My wife and I don't like the confines of the cabin. We use the cockpit fill
in cushions and make our bed in the cockpit. Much more room and the stars
are
fantastic. That way we don't have to move the potty and the cabin can be
used
in the morning without disturbing the other person. Nothing worse than
sleeping with your head directly over the head.
Rummy
