that is the easy answer.

Here in eastern Tennessee we mostly have light winds. I think this
extra sail area is good. There is more then enough room on the forestay,
so I hope to add an extension to the top of my furling tube.

the new (used) sail luff is 304" . I think my old sail was 288" .

I am looking for one of those Roger special answers....:)

Bob,

I would take the sail to a sail loft & have them remove the XS material
from
the foot of the sail.  It won't cost much.
