Steve,
I don't believe terrorists have any political preference. They are an equal  
opportunity murderer.
The current mess we have in Iraq will never be resolved. The United States  
will eventually withdraw, leaving the country in total chaos and civil war. It  
will overshadow anything positive, if one could find it in the first place, 
that  might have come from the W administration.
