Lou,
If the visible crack in your pop top is indeed the source of your rainwater
leak; then, I would expect it would be a mold & mildew farm. The next time
you are on board your boat, please take a good close look at the crack from
inside the cabin. If you see black specks of mold & mildew; then, that
would be a pretty good indication of a source of moisture.
