Chris we live near Carson City, so a side trip to the green state is certainly possible. I believe you did mention that you had an interest in sailing Lake Tahoe. We are 45 min. from the lake.
If you ever do make a trip I would like to take you to Pyramid Lake also. I just want your opinion on the lakes appearance.
I would like to meet you someday. Should you sail Tahoe and want to return I can store your boat in my 40x40 garage. Then you could fly and I could pick you up at the a/p. Just an option you can consider.
Our project boat is still in need of work. Last week I practiced putting up the mast with our new GB mast hoist. (yippie) The main sail is in fair condition, But the roller furling jib sail looks incomplete. It only has an aluminum tube that the sail slides up on. I cannot figure out what holds the sail up on the tube, and at the bottom of this tube there is nothing that looks like pictures I have seen of roller furling head sails. There is only a flat disc welded to the tube about 6or 7" in dia. No housing that holds a coiled line, just a flat disc 1/8 " thick and 6" in dia. After We solve this problem I believe I am ready to launch. Then it is just TLC work, you know cosmetic stuff. The finish is sun faded, and there are lots of stress cracks. I have enjoyed the boat and am looking forward to this summer. Barry & Joyce
