Rob,
	As I understand it you were willing to pull start your motor before
you bought it.  So what is the great need to hook up the electric start now?
Have you all of a sudden developed arm weakness?  Just tape the ends of wire
off and lead them out of the way in the Laz.  Just go sailing.  For that
matter just go an additional 120 miles and go sailing on Lake Hartwell.  We
will be waiting for you.  If you are staying a few days, Jane still has a
transient dock.  Can I expect to see you on the water Sunday?

We had our electric start motor wired to a battery selector switch
with two batteries located aft of the forward flotation.  The
starboard battery was normally connected to the solar cell
with the port battery used for starting.  The switch allows you
to use the alternate battery for starting if you want.  Not necessary
but convenient.  We never had significant discharge on either
battery (except when the sink pump stuck on) and have minimal
use of power, but the setup is pretty convenient and seems to
be an optimal location for the battery.  Running a (properly sized)
wire to the engine aft is not a big deal.

It turns out the "new" (used) motor I just bought sight unseen is an 
electric start model.  The leads that come with it don't appear long enough 
to reach the battery compartment, although I haven't tried it yet.  How are 
the cables run for those of you with an electric start motor?  And anyone 
want to tell me if using a second, sealed battery, located in the lazaret is

a bad idea?  I don't need to charge the main battery with the motor since I 
have a solar panel that handles that quite well.  Thoughts?  Thanks - rob
