Michael,
I guess what you are saying; you do not have a trailer? Strategy,
get with Nick Hake and Elton and use your boat as family sailoring
promotion. Where would you go? Lake Champlain! Nice clean water that is
good for swimming this time of year. Visit one marina each day. Maybe Mr.
Hake would even pay the rent (doubtful).
Where would you start? I have been to: http://sayahoy.com/index.shtml,
which is just north of the Lake Champlain Crown Point Bridge. There is no
motel with pool at the marina, in fact no motel. There are several old
fashion motels not far. There is only one restaurant of note at the fork in
the road where the road comes over the bridge.
Another possibility would be at the south end of the lake at Whitehall.
Lock 12 has a large ramp on the west side, marina and restaurant on the east
side: http://www.visitwhitehall.com/pages/3/index.htm This spot is a very
unique and educational setting. See:

The lake has many locations and marinas. I have been to a few more on the
Vermont side. Burlington has its city docks with it ECHO environmental
center, a pork barrel contribution of its Senator Leahy, which the girls
would love. It has lots of fish tanks.

This would be a good time of year to go. And if you do not go, maybe some
of the northeast Rhodies would be interested. Maybe even Bill Effros would
check it out. There used to be one Rhodes Continental

thanks, looking at the thread buy they seem to be
giving him a hard time, No dingy yet, rather spend the
money on food and things to do, buying a trailer is
"taxing" this year. :-)
