[Rhodes22-list] Route -- Greenwich to Edenton

Stan,
Glad to hear you've got lots of work. You seem to keep quite busy for
an old guy.
Lucky for me, as you may have heard, these boats are built quite well,
and an 8 year old boat doesn't need much in the way of labor. Mainly
what I want to do is add stuff I didn't get the first time around.
Chances are I can do most of the labor myself--I just need to know if
you need to make measurements or see things on my actual boat. Also I
was looking forward to chewing the fat with you.
Do you need to see my boat to order me a Boom Room? Do you need my boat
to install a boom room? It seems several others have the same
questions. If we front you the money for several boom rooms can we
lower the price?
Also I want a new battened sail, and a new IMF mast. I assume the least
expensive way to pick up the mast is at the factory, unless it's made
somewhere along my route, and I can pick it up en route. (Sorry, Ed.)
Also I want your advice on numerous technical matters. I have the
plastic gudgeons, and have worked out how to refit the holes so they
don't wear. Should I replace them with metal gudgeons anyhow?
Plumbing suggestions for installed heads with no plumbed input.
Feasibility study on mounting an auto tiller on a motorized motor mount.
Deck/Mast electrical hardware recommendations.
Chart Table/Bat Wing feasibility study.
Pedestal envy.
Cordage replacement.
Water gauge considerations.
Latest Mast Hoist refinements.
Port settee repair or replacement advice.
Shorties -- Tiller/Mast/Pedestal/Trailer
Hatch arm replacement part.
Latest pintel configuration.
There's more. At some point it seemed like it would take less time to
talk face to face than to try to hash it all out via email or
telephone. No offense intended, but record keeping does not seem to be
your strongest suit. I was planning to arrive on a Friday so we could
spend time over a weekend without interrupting your labor team. I speak
no Spanish, and can communicate only in English...badly.
Is there space in your boatyard?
Need help selling used boats?
