Lukemia regatta - was RE: [Rhodes22-list] Help needed - Rhodes Bantam

Rummy, you'll like this,

One of the sponsors of the regatta was.....yes, you guessed it - Mount Gay
rum. We got rum drinks, hat clips, chap stick (yes, Mount Gay chapstick!),
insulated drink bottles, and the captain got a Mount Gay cap. I hit the rep
up for one, too, but they were being used as awards, so he wasn't giving any
others out. He did thank me for drinking Mount Gay, though - said he
appreciated me helping to feed his kids <g>.

Mark - Thats my kind of racing. Was the boat a Rhodes design? I couldn't
imagine the upkeep on something like that. Some of those old boats were good
looking and much faster than folks realize.
