[Rhodes22-list] Tiller Trouble

Could I get a ruling on this.  Our tiller is in reasonably good shape except
for the aft end that is sandwiched between the rudder housing.  Lots of rot.
Can I salvage this with "Git Rot" or something?  See attachments.
