Bill,
There was an article in the most recent Sunday's Sports section about the
water levels. That article mentioned the one month date set back. I would
have to check but I think it said April mid month for full pool. It id not
really go into detail regarding when they would start raising the level. The
April date was for full pool.
I couple of weeks ago I a bassboat almost sank at Concord Ramp. I paddle a
kayak for exercise when there is little or no wind. I put in at the Concord
ramp and usually head upriver for a few miles then turn around and come
back. Anyway I am approaching Concord ramp to pull out and a bassboat wakes
me in the no wake zone shouting "Sorry". They almost hit the dock and one
guy hops out sprinting to tow vehicle. I drift up to the dock and see the
boat is quickly sinking with several feet of water in the bottom. Water was
just getting ready to pour over the transom and they got the trailer under
the boat. That boat was going down! It turns out they hit bottom going about
30 and cracked keel towards bow. It didn't leak when on a plane but as soon
as they stopped or slowed down water would come pouring in.
