Ed,
Welcome home!  I load all my photos into iPhoto which is a Mac program but
might be available to PC users.  You also might check out Shutterfly.com
You can upload (and label) unlimited number of photos for free, then send
the link to anyone interested in viewing the photos.  Anyone viewing the
photos online can order prints from Shutterfly if they wish. It's a nice way
to share a bunch of pix without bombarding and overloading anyone's inbox.
