[Rhodes22-list] Lift Mufflers (was Air Conditioning)

Herb,

I'm not really sure of my ground here, (again, we all used to leave most 
of this stuff to Roger, and we'll need to develop some new technical 
protocols) however, I'm pretty sure lift mufflers are primarily used for 
inboards below the water line.  Wet systems are used for engines above 
the water line, and employ pumps to bring the water into an exhaust 
system specifically designed to operate in this manner.

Water cooled exhaust system manufacturers go out of their way to exhort 
users not to use their systems unless their engines are designed for the 
added back pressure, and can be safely attached.

The Hondas are air cooled engines designed to freely exhaust into the air.

I'll stick to my guns, at least for now, and continue to strongly 
recommend against attaching a hose to a little Honda generator and 
putting the other end of the hose in the water.
