I assume you have the IMF system.  If so and you don't want to lower the
mast you will have to leave the sails as they are.  I would suggest taking
the tension off the luff's of the main and jib and be particularly careful
to avoid any possibility that the wind can unroll the head sail.  I have
seen this happen and the concerned sail was reduced to tatters in short
order.
