[Rhodes22-list] Another Computer Question

Slim, if you go to apple.com, you'll see some pretty inexpensive Apple
laptops. Was just looking at iPods with my daughter and was pleasantly
surprised at some of the laptop and Mac prices.
I think Airport is just Apple's brand of wireless router for the home --
you can get the same thing at Best Buy or Circuit City.
As a former marketing guy for the IBM pc business, I'm a big Apple fan.
But I think Apple got the GUI design from Xerox PARC, while Steve Jobs
was still in India smoking dope. Not that there's anything wrong with
that.

Bill,
Dissin' the Mac, eh? Listen mister, you wouldn't know what a "window"
was
if it weren't for Steve Jobs. The architecture of the circuitry is
superior, period. As for the market, great! That's why we don't even
run
any anti-virus software. Shhhhhhh...don't tell anyone!
But seriously, I'm not opposed to picking up a "junker" pc to do only
what
it needs to do--that is, internet connection, e-mail, the usual--and
leave
the heavy lifting to the Mac. In my case that's iTunes and the iPod.
That
would be God the Father and God the Son!
