Re. Ed's suggestion about the boat show.
If time permits during the boat show days, you might enjoy seeing 'noon meal formation' at the Naval Academy.  That weekend will be very active in the yard, as it is the Air Force Academy game weekend.  If possible, show up early, and verify at USNA main office, since it could be crowded.  It will be worthwhile.

Why not ask West at their 800-BOATING line.  Would help if you can tell them exactly what you bought.  They may take it back.  BTW the rudder cleat is their model #1158443.  That really is an excellent insurance package that I have never used.  Thanks for another great idea.

I got some jib sheets from west marine this spring.It doesn't cleat as
well,or uncleat like Stan's. It is also harder on the hands,and is already
starting to fray.I paid a pretty handsome sum for it,and don't seem to be
getting my $ worth.I think I'll ask Santa for some Stan sheets.
