Bob,
      Welcome to the club, I looked at the Potter 19 and was offered a good
price on a local used one.  However, when the centerboard is up, the cabin
is useless.
       Rhodes 22's are a unique boat.  However, there is not a lot of them
available.  However, the original maker is still making them.  Have you
looked at http://www.rhodes22.com ?
       This site is important to the wanabee looking for a used boat.  There
are two places on this site that are important.  First, is the recycled boat
department.  And second is his not recycled used boat brokerage department. 
Whether new, recycled or used it is all under the auspicies of Commodore
Stan Spitzer.  He is the orginator, rebuilder and broker.   The brokerage
boats are of two types.  Too old to recycle or the current owner wants more
for them than Stan would pay for a boat that is to be recycled. 
         Feel free to ask questions of the members of this list.  If you
want a ride, there is a ride available in South Carolina.  The usual fee is
a bottle of Mt. Gay rum payable to Captain Rummy, SV Rum Runner.  It would
be worth your trip.
