I also launched there -- once.  The power boat crowd 
was pretty rowdy, in an unpleasant way, and I would 
not think of leaving any rig there after dark.  Notice, 
I did not say overnight, as I would not expect to find 
even a grease spot left of my rig there in the morning.

I really encourage you to go a bit further down river.
