Elle:
No I do not recall a name of a surveyor who has recently surveyed a
boat in Edenton. Get a copy of Good Old Boats and look up surveyors in the
back. I believe a famous surveyor guy lives in the area, his name is Bill
Sandifer(?). I recall one surveyor who was surveying a boat when I was
visiting one time gave Stan a hard time, so I would not expect Stan to offer
his name. Although I do not believe that Stan took it personally, he just
got mad at some of his assistants who said they had thouroughly checked
things.
There are good books on surveying. I have a copy of Surveying
Fiberglass Sailboats by Henry C Mustin, ISBN 0-07-044248-7. It is not
expensive and is available over WWW. And you might look here:

Things have been quite on sailing subjects the last week. It is
interesting that some newbies jump on the list and ask a question and never
acknowledge the answers nor do we hear from them for several years.
