[Rhodes22-list] Winter Cover - Harbor Freight tarp

Thanks, Slim,

Your answer reminded me that what you've described is
the way we used to put our Hunter 23 away for the
winter....we made a frame out of PVC for the
forepeak...then covered everything with tarps .....

Since the boat wil be slipped about 50' from my back
door, it will be no problem to go down & brush snow
from the deck, etc. But you're right about watching
for freezing water down below....

Heck...I have to thread my way along the bulkhead to
the satellite dish when it snows to brush the snow off
the receiver....Does anyone ELSE have this problem???
No kidding...the snow builds up & blocks reception...&
I have to go down there several times during a
snowstorm (depends on the rate of snow) & clean the
dish off. Picture this...along the bulkhead, pitch
dark (flashlight, of course, nighttime,
snowing....slippery...)

No, we don't have cable out here.....

Thanks for letting me BOTHER you and your BOTHERING to
reply so cogently.
