Rummy,
These numbers are from "Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual" by
Nigel Calder and are based on ABYC standards.
5 to 10 amps - 15 ft. run = 18 guage
10 to 15 18
15 to 20 16
20 to 25 14
I would think anything over 15 amps would be overkill but if there's any
doubt, default to the larger wire size.
