Ruben,

Please reset your computer clock to the correct day or I may never see
your reply.

I have owned both a Mac 26X and a Rhodes 22, and I have had a lot of fun
sailing on both.

When I wanted to sell the Mac and buy the R-22 my wife couldn't
understand why.

Now she does.

I only have time for the short version.

As noted by others, many of the things you seek are mutually exclusive.
Forget "roomy" and the idea of sailing more than 50 miles from land.

The R-22 and the Mac, on paper, seem similar--just as a Yugo and a
Camry, on paper, might seem similar. The R-22 is a much better boat.
The Camry is a much better car.

No time for more right now. Others can fill in the blanks if you need
more detail.
