MJM,
This is what I suggested and use today for my boom tent. Tent poles with
shock cord. Six foot pieces of stainless sound way to bulky for my taste.
These poles go together easy. All of my tents have them. I have used them
for years on my boat. There are sites that sell everything you need to make
your own if you can't find the correct length.
I think you guys are making this way to hard. I woud not use zippers or
snaps to attach side panels. I would look at those fittings (not sure how to
describe) that has a female fitting on one side that has a rectangular hole.
The other fitting has a metal piece that fits through the hole and you turn.
Clear as mud?
Wally
