[Rhodes22-list] Art's Boom Room Help

Art,

My mental picture of your BR is still a bit hazy. Please help.

As I understand it, you are working with 3 pieces of stainless steel,
fastened in an H shape, with each piece 6' long. The H is oriented so
that the 2 sides of the H face fore and aft, and the cross piece goes
across the cockpit. The Frame is sewn into the hem of the top, with
just the connectors exposed. You are using standard Bimini type
hardware to attach the frame members to each other, and to the boat.
(Plastic or metal?)

I don't understand how the frame is suspended or supported.

I don't understand how the flaps are attached to the roof.

I don't understand where the "wire" you mentioned in one of your emails
fits into the design.

I don't understand how the fabric portions are attached to the boat.

Any help will be appreciated.

>It is sure coming together. Keep in mind that there may be more than one ultimate design. Like Slim suggests, the aft shrouds do not need to be disconnected on the H design I have used. It is really quite simple, and should actually be quite inexpensive. The more complicated, the more effort to set-up/break-down, maintain, and the more expensive. I have liked the simplicity, myself, and sounds like Slim and others may also. Holler with any further questions.
