Bud,
It's a Lifesling - MOB retrieval aid. Not sure the sling part would work
but it would at least help attach a MOB to the boat and add a little
floatation (the sling). Because it's attached near the swim ladder it culd
help get the MOB to the swim ladder quicker. Beyond that we would improvise.
