Luis,
Interesting.  My latch is nothing like this.  I don't have any pictures to
show right now.  The part that attaches to the board is just a piece of
metal with a slot in it.  The slot sits just above the top to the board.  My
pop top enclosure has a metal "tongue" on it with a hole in the end.  After
I put the board into the groves I straighten the tongue on the pop top to
line it up and slide the pop top sternward so that the tongue goes through
the slot and then just put an outdoor style padlock through the hole.  Mine
is a 1974 boat.  - Rob
