[Rhodes22-list] Battery Compartment

Morning All,
  Now that the weather is nice and dry again, I have started to chase 
down how water is getting into the bilge.
One thing I have noticed is that when water gets into the "battery 
compartment" under the V-berth, it does
not appear to flow into the bilge compartment under the cabin floor. 
 Are the battery compartment and the
bilge compartment connected by some sort of water channel?  If so, where 
is the channel located?
