      It is obvious from your post that you are indulging and receiving back channel communications.  You need to be chastized, castigated, and rebuked.  Of all people promoting back channel chatter.  If it was instigated by Dave then you should explain to him the purpose of the list and his obligations.  As long as you have been on the list, you above all people, should explain to the Newbies to keep it on the list, especially for an event of this magnitude.  Have you arranged for the New York Times photographers?
      So, Dave is going to beat you to Edenton?  What route is he taking back?  Will he have the boat in tow?  Gee, you would have thunk that Dave would let everybody know? 
       So, do you now have a composting head?  What did you do with the plumbing from the marine head?
       What brand marine heads is Stan installing these days?  Is Dave getting a macerator with his marine head?  What was that marine head that electrically treated the effuient so that disposal is not a problem?
