Hi Dave,

You will certainly want to avoid the B&Bs on Queen Street.  A few years ago
a bunch on NY area folks came down, bought the old homes there and converted
'em to B&Bs.  The Best Western on the bypass is about as cheap as I know in
Edenton.

However, I do not believe you would be bothering Stan to stay in his guest
quarters.  It's part of  the the several thousand sqft of space he has.  I
think it's heated, but you might want to check.  You will not find a better
price in Edenton and you will be close to your boat.

Sorry to be slow on replies -- having PC problems.  Shoulda followed my
advice to Slim and bought a Mac, but old loyalties die hard.

I have never had the pleasure of visiting the Edenton area, but was planning
to find the cheapest motel money can buy somewhere nearby.  Wouldn't want to
trouble Stan.  Any suggestions on a cheap but habitable motel?
