Dave,
It is hard to know, but easy to test. The parts subject to damage cost
less than the cost of the antifreeze.
RV antifreeze is designed for steel pipe systems. It really makes no
sense in our systems. You are supposed to use it full strength, and
replace all of your water with this stuff. So are you going to put 15
gallons of it into your water tank?
5 gallons of water left in our plastic tanks is not going to expand
enough to crack a 15 gallon container.
The plumbing on our boats is just one step more difficult to replace
than putting out a lawn sprinkler.
I have kept water in my system for 8 years without experiencing a
problem. It has gotten pretty cold here some years.
