[Rhodes22-list] Airbus Maintains Target Date for A380 Delivery

Hank,

That photo is funny as hell but they're not laughing in France.  The 380 has
some big problems (no pun intended) and we only know about the ones that
have been admitted to.  I've talked to one of our project managers that's
flown the plane and he says it flys great, easy to land, blah, blah, blah.
There are only a handful of airports in the US that can handle it. Only two
US companies have orders, my employer and UPS.  The breakeven number keeps
rising and the order book keeps getting smaller.  If things don't turn
around this may be the next Concorde for the EU.  If it does make it to
market, I think I'll let my buds get a couple of years of field testing
complete before my happy arse steps foot on the beast.
