Dave,
I try to imagine your pulling the boat cross country, and really wonder if there is any alternative. That will be a buster. Stan and Elton might be able to use some type of shield for the hull for such a long trip - rocks, tar, all sorts of mischief could foul the bottom before you really get underway after the pull. There ought to be some way to protect your big investment. They might be able to raise it on a sling, drape the trailer with some cloth or plastic/mylar, and lower it back down. I might be able to find some plastic here and carry it to Stan when I take the new BR over. I'd hate to get the gel dinged that way. Let me know what you think.
