possibly but doing the epoxy thing from the top might revive the interest if it seems the problem can be solved easily by a novice. key is thin and slowly. and do find the source of the water or else prepare for more work down the road...i do have a question though. if you have to rebed stantions, mast foot. or other deck hardware, should you use some other kind of material in these areas that is more conducive to screws, bolts, etc. ie., glassed in ply or or other fg wrapped material first before pouring epoxy all over the place? seems like you'd want to check and or rebed everthing forward of the cabin hatch. lotta work. on another site someone used microballs mixed with epoxy to stiffen up the fill.????

Michel Meltzer <mjm at michaelmeltzer.com> wrote: I was thinking about pulling the hatch, scrapping the "junk out" with a rod
and pumping in some very thin epoxy (the wood rot stuff) and Then pump in
their think end epoxy, but it seemed that area would take gallons of the
stuff and with pots that big it might "kick off" on you. Dumb install of the
hatch just took 2000$+ out of the boat.
