No need to take it home, I have my new recycled R-22 that I'm thrilled with.

I had considered an O'Day at one point, but the Rhodes is a far better fit for me. I just found the posting humorous -- if you're trying to sell your boat, at least clean the damn junk out of it so your pictures help show what the boat really looks like. And don't bother with out-of-focus shots, because those aren't helping the purchaser.

Brad,
Thank you for your post. I would hope others on the list read it.
Ben has a special way with words.

Mark,
Your post about the eBay boat shows what is going on and as the seller
said, hopefully saves him email questions and lawsuits. Actually, the
pictures show that the boat was used until something happened. Not all
people are neat and orderly.
While it appears to be a wreak, and the bottom is in very poor
condition, I suspect it is very fixable. O'Day hulls of that period while
not the greatest are fixable. This would be a good boat for someone who
has a year to work on it. It would take some money to fix the bottom.
Because of standing water inside, assume all lower woodwork inside
would have to be replaced. After fixing the bottom and interior work it is
within sailing condition. This would be a great coastal cruiser for someone
wanting to weekend along the coast. It would also be a good Great Lakes
boat.
What would be a fair price for it as it is? I would estimate upto
$5,000 or maybe even a little more.
So Mark, are you going to take it home?
