It was a perfect day to play on the water! I'm glad you
got out!
BTW, I also have a daughter living out of town, and worry
about her too. Children living outside of a parents'
protective sphere is not always easy for the parents.
However, once upon a time she broke a guy's nose at a dance
for attempting to grab her. So maybe she's better able to
lookout for herself than the daddy gene in me cares to
admit. :-)
On the flip side, I increasingly worry about my teenage
son, and he still lives at home!
BTW, The case in my original email, the parents got to file
charges, since the girl was a minor at the time. Yes, the
examples is an extreme case, and more likely an exception
than the rule. Thus, another argument to oppose killing as
a form of punishment, you can't make a correction later.
