[Rhodes22-list] Repost: Iraq Soldier's plea

I am not the least bit surprised.  We have fielded the most educated, intelligent, well trained Army in history.  Officers have to have a BS/BA at a minimum.  Many enlisted soldiers have Associates, BA/BS, Masters and some Phds.  We have multilingual soldiers and with the reserves the occupations they left to serve are extraordinary.  I know at least two folks who sold their businesses to answer their recall (one was a hardware store).  Our military is certainly not the dregs of society.
