I had to move a pontoon boat from Hartwell when the COE drained the lake low a few summers ago.  The 'logs', just like the bottom of any boat, compressed the mud so much that the suction to the bottom could not be broken without significantly higher water level.  It will be interesting to see if a spring tide can help much at all.
