I agree.  The problem is everyone will misinterpret the result and W, who is
NOT a conservative (he's more center) will push the amnesty, will sign the
minimum wage increase and probably any other "oh well' legislation the
conservative Congress wouldn't consider.  Then he'll fight for the few
things he wants.  Ebb and flow.  We survived so far.  I think the rational
heads will pull the moon-bats (is that correct, it's the first time I have
ever used it) toward the center

Slim,

The silence won't last long.  Here, or anywhere else!  The election went
pretty conservative for the most part.  Some GOP bad boys got thrown out,
partly by their own party but mostly by the "silent majority". There are
enough Blue Dog Democrats to keep the center, well, centered.  Pelosi will
have her 15 minutes of fame, OK, two years, and she'll be exposed for what
she really is.  No President since Andrew Jackson made it two terms without
getting thumped in a mid-term election and W is no exception.  As a true
conservative, I'm glad to see the elephants get an honest 'whupping' for
forgetting that their base is supposed to be conservative.  Instead of
eliminating the Department of Education, they doubled its budget.  They
passed a drug benefit program for the elderly that wasn't needed and isn't
affordable.  I could go on and on, and will, on another day.  The Dems have
to compete against a record created by some of the most reckless spenders in
recent history.  You gotta love irony!
