The other thing, Dave, is ALL spending bills come out of the Congress. The
Congress during Reagan's and Geo H.W. Bush's time was Democrat, neither
Republican nor Conservative. The current crop of Republicans didn't hold
down spending and acted like Democrats and guess what happened. . . no you
don't have to guess, read the news, they are out.

No Herb, I don't represent myself as a spokesman for conservatives, I'm an
analyst and reporter of the historical record and I'm reporting the gross
disconnect between the conservative rhetoric and historical reality. You
can
review and analyze the historical reality yourself, it's available for all
to
see as tables of numbers at _www.ustreas.gov_ (http://www.ustreas.gov) ,
it's up
to you to make sense of the numbers.
As for checking your brain at the door: I'm not asking that you check your
brain at the door, I'm challenging you to use it. Go to ustreas.gov, break
down the national debt by political administration, see which Presidents,
and
which political parties, ran up the national debt. You will have to use
your
brain to do the steps outlined above, the government doesn't have a single
chart that states "Reagan, BushI, and BushII Did It!", but if you do dig
just
a little bit you will find they are the guys responsible for the
substantial
majority of the total debt incurred by the United States government over
the
past 200+ years. Try it, you'll see I'm right.
Dave
