Rex:

What is your wind speed when you are trying to point?  Are you using all the
175?  If  winds are over 10 mph try using less Genie and bring the sheets
inside the stays.  Ask Wally how to set up your traveler on a single line
and use your traveler to adjust the main to keep air in the slot. 
Furthermore, if the winds are higher, try the Genie inside the inner stays. 
With the R22 you can create all kinds of sail combinations.
