Yes, it's very nice.  Easy in and out.  We haven't gone far, we're still
figuring things out.  Depths there are around 50 feet; 12 or so at the
marina.  I would have liked to stay at Ft. Belvoir, but MWR didn't put any
of the Ivan insurance money back into the marina, the money to dredge has
been held up for any variety of reasons and now there's a rumour that the
paperwork to close it by 2011 is on the commandant's desk.  I decided it was
enough and moved to Quantico.  Besides, if we want to go out for a couple of
hours, we cast off and go out.  At Dogue Creek, we had to wait for tides and
the area to get in and out and maneouvre was very tight.  The yacht club at
Quantico is much more active too.

 Washington Sailing Marina ... just north of Old Town Alexandria on the GW
Parkway.  It's close to home, but you have much bigger water down there,
right?

Base on the Potomac.
