Mark,
You are correct in your estimate on total weight. You can take the vehicle  
and boat to a truck stop that has a certified scale and weight both tow 
vehicle,  boat and trailer. Then disconnect trailer and weight tow vehicle 
alone. The 
 difference is the boat and trailer weight.
