Thanks Ed. This is helpful.
Actually, I've seriously thought over the last year about moving my family to Florida ... don't think it'll work for me in my line of work, though ... and I already hate the summer heat in DC ... can't imagine a Florida summer.

They all told you what to wear, but not where to get it. Try:
http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=226&catalogId=40000000226&langId=-1
Ask them for their catolog.
If you feel like a professional sailboat racer, try:
http://www.layline.com/
I am surprised that Peter T did not tell you about this place.
Anne mentioned DN602 Jacket by Frogg Toggs, see:
http://www.cyclestuffusa.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=11490
Or you might try this brand:
http://www.wallsoutdoors.com/Product.aspx?PID=IN&BRD=&CAT=JC&PSTL=35701
Of course you could just to Florida.
