Joe,
Early on I learned having people puke on your airplane is not fun. No
matter how good the environmental systems the smell wafts to the cockpit
sooner or later. Two spring breaks in a row I took several kids from my
son's fraternity out on the boat for days at a time. The rule was, you
puke, you clean it up! No one did but they weren't always accurate with
their aim from other orifices.
Speaking of Grumman, I seriously considered buying a Cheetah, a 150hp fixed
gear single that Grumman built in the 80's. Grumman sold the division and
the company has been through a series of new owners and bankruptcies. I
eventually chose speed (at the sacrifice of complexity) over simplicity.
Did Grumman ever build a boat other than a canoe?
