Bill,
I had an 83 recycled Rhodes. I ordered two opening hatches because here in
KY and TN as well, it is 100 degrees with 90% humidity. You NEED those
openings!
I never had leaks in mine. I did re-bed the side windows. It was not
difficult.
I rebed the cabintop window on my 33.5 this summer. So far, no leaks.

You will love the Rhodes! You can sail alone so easily in wind that others
shun.
Yet, you have plenty of room for guests in cockpit (even compared to larger
boats).
I believe that the Rhodes was much more comfortable than my bigger boat.
Good thing is, I sold it to a friend here and have 1st right of refusal!!
Anne

Bill D.

     Welcome to the Rhodes List.

When you see the name Bill you have to look to see if it is Bill E or
Bill W or Bill D. Do not be offened by the diatribe of the left wingers on
this list. Just say, the list is working.

It is safe to disregard Philip's statement about opening ports just
because of a few drops of water. Just ask Stan to make you snap on covers.
The covers will keep out most of the rain. What is left is insignificant or
can be simply wiped with a towel before you open them. And keep in mind
that Philip is still a rookie.

Again, welcome to the center of all knowledge, boat and otherwise.
We have several resident gurus on alcolhic beverages and songs to go with
them.
